The idea

A parking bay is a small piece of real estate. Most bays are only needed during certain parts of the day, and sit idle for the rest of it. IDA aims to help owners make those spaces useful during the idle hours.

    Availability may vary by time of day, by day of the week, or with how the property is being used. You decide the windows.

    As the platform develops, IDA will connect available parking with drivers looking for somewhere convenient to park nearby.

Parking already exists. IDA helps make better use of it.

Cities contain a large amount of parking infrastructure that sits unused at different times of the day. An office lot empties at six. A school yard is quiet on a Saturday. A driveway stands open from the morning commute until the evening one.

IDA aims to create a network where that existing capacity can be shared more efficiently between the people who own it and the drivers who need it — with the owner, not a barrier or a camera, deciding who parks and when.

The idea is not to build more parking. It is to make better use of the parking that is already there.
